Please read this important information regarding the nursing strike action on 6 and 7 February

If my appointment at the hospital gets cancelled, will I need to get another referral?

Appointments should be running as normal, but if you are contacted by the hospital to say your appointment has been cancelled, your appointment will be rearranged by the hospital.

Is my general practice on strike?

The Royal College of Nursing strike does not affect staff who work at GP practices and so your general practice will be running as usual on these days. Please still attend any appointments you have.

Should I still go to my general practice appointment if it is with a nurse?

Yes, unless you are contacted by the practice to say your appointment has been rescheduled, please attend all general practice appointments as normal on 6 and 7 February.

Should I attend my GP Practice appointment on 6 or 7 February or should I wait?

Please access any GP Practice or healthcare facility you need on these dates. Healthcare services will still be available when you need them, please do not delay any care that you may need especially if it is an emergency or life-saving care that is required.
