Many drinks can be harmful to your baby’s developing teeth and general health. It’s a good idea to get babies used to the different tastes and textures of fruit and vegetables instead of too many ready-made juices, purees and snacks which can be very high in sugar.
Avoid fruit juices and smoothies as babies don’t need them. Drinks with added sugars such as squashes and fizzy drinks should never be given to a baby as not only can the sugar damage teeth and cause health issues, but they can fill your baby up meaning they can miss out on important nutrients from food.
