What is an Admiral Nurse?
- We are Registered Nurses who have specialist knowledge of dementia care, who provide support to family carers and people living with dementia throughout the experience of dementia, particularly during times when things are particularly intense and or more difficult.
- If you are caring for someone with dementia you may find it impacting on your own life and health.
- Admiral nurses can sometimes help you with support and guidance in coping with these emotions, stresses and practical problems.
To be referred to the Admiral Nurse
- Contact GP surgery for guidance:
- Patient/family must be registered with North Primary Care Network which includes Brierley Park Huthwaite and Skegby, Woodlands, King’s Medical Centre, Willowbrook surgeries.
