Hospital Blood Tests
From 17 April 2026, blood test services are changing across Sherwood Forest Hospitals.
If your blood test has been requested by a GP or another organisation outside the hospital, you will now be asked to attend the Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) instead.
From this date:
- Clinic 3 at King’s Mill Hospital will only provide blood tests for patients attending hospital clinics. Please do not attend Clinic 3 unless your hospital team has specifically told you to do so.
- All blood test services currently provided at Mansfield Community Hospital will move to the Community Diagnostics Centre.
Booking your appointment
Sherwood Forest Hospitals uses an appointment system called Swiftqueue at all sites. This helps reduce waiting times and makes sure patients are seen more smoothly.
We kindly ask that all blood test appointments are booked in advance, rather than attending without an appointment. This helps us manage demand and keep waiting times as short as possible.
We understand that not everyone has access to a smartphone or finds online systems easy to use. If this applies to you, we can book the appointment for you.
